It goes without saying that the focus lies on innovation in music during ADE; on a creative level as well as new ways of promotion, distribution, and consumption of music. Jason Alexander (Hit The Ground Running, US)
Jason Alexander is the founder of Hit The Ground Running, a music supervision company in Los Angeles. He is responsible for music placements in films and TV shows such as CSI, CSI: NY, Nikita, and Ringer. Past projects include CSI: Miami, Entourage, Dark Blue, The Big Bang and Butter. In 2009, Jason co-founded the trailer music company, Pusher.
Martin Hewett (SCEE, GB)
Hewett is A&R manager and music supervisor at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE). He synchronises music onto all the games that are developed by SCEE that require musical content.

Marc Romboy (Systematic Recordings GmbH, DE)
Romboy grew up listening to The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix, and first discovered dance music in the mid 80s via the 'strange' Chicago sound. "I didn't exactly know the background and roots of this music, but was really flashed when I heard Steve Silk Hurley's 'Jack Your Body' for the first time. I thought this was music from a different universe."

Flamingo-residents Funkerman and Raf talk about their trademark sound, which made them so successful the last few years (i.e. with Fedde le Grand's Put Your Hands Up For Detroit). The balance between technique and feel, studio demands, and the most important elements of a good dance mix are some of the subjects they will address.

Alongside Fedde le Grand and Raf, DJ and producer Funkerman is a founder of Flamingo Recordings. His breakthrough release was Speed Up in 2007, and most recently he has remixed Moby's The Day. A new track Smoking Blue was released the Black Hole Radio compilation this summer.

Alongside Fedde le Grand and Funkerman, Raf is one of the trio who founded and run Dutch indie powerhouse Flamingo Recordings.
